Go gaga for Bananas…

Banana Man!

Despite my own personal discomfort with eating them in public, the humble Banana is a convienient fruit to eat on the run.

Bananas are an amazing source of potassium, vitamin B6 and fibre. They also contain good amounts of magnesium, biotin, riboflavin and good-old Vitamin C.

Becuase Potassium is a very important electrolyte in the body, a banana will help control fluid balance, and therefore help regulate blood pressure.

They are a great way to restore any lost electrolytes after exercise – much better than those evil unatural sports drinks.

The high fibre and pectin content of a banana will also help with cholesterol maintainance and be soothing to an irritated gut…

Probably why I reach for one the morning after a big night out… 😉

I’ll leave you with a video…. the REAL BANANA MAN! I like bananas… but this is just insane. But goes to show how good they are nutritionally.
